Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Длина переднего крыла — от 2,2 до 2,8 см. На передних крыльях по одному, а на задних по три глазка, по оранжевому фону. Бабочка вполне себе изменчива, известны подвиды ssp. orintalpina Verity из южных долин Альп или, к примеру, meadewaldoi Rothsch. из Алжира. [85].
